This Privacy Policy describes how Byte Limited ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and discloses your information when you use our Big Sister TV mobile application (the "App").

1. Introduction

Big Sister TV is an entertainment application offering TV shows, live TV, and a "coming soon" shop. To access certain features, you will need to create an account.

2. Information We Collect

We collect various types of information from and about you when you use our App:

A. Information You Provide Directly to Us:

  • Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your:
    • Name
    • Email address
    • Phone number
    • Password (encrypted)
  • Google Sign-in (OAuth2): If you choose to sign in with your Google account, we use Google's OAuth2 protocol to authenticate your identity. This allows you to create an account without providing a separate password. When you sign in with Google, we will receive certain profile information from your Google account, such as your name and email address, as permitted by your Google account settings and Google's terms. We do not receive or store your Google password.
  • Application for Shows: If you choose to apply for shows through the App, you may be asked to provide additional information, including but not limited to:
    • Photo(s)
    • Video(s)
    • Date of Birth
    • Nationality
    • Other personal details relevant to the show application process.
  • Communications: When you communicate with us (e.g., customer support, feedback), we collect the content of your communications and any information you choose to provide.
  • Shop (Coming Soon): When our shop feature becomes available, we may collect information necessary to process your purchases, such as billing and shipping addresses, and payment information. (Note: We do not directly store full payment card details. These are processed by secure third-party payment processors.)

B. Information We Collect Automatically:

  • Usage Information: We collect information about your activity on the App, such as:
    • The TV shows you watch
    • Features you use
    • Time and duration of your activity
    • Searches you conduct
  • Device Information: We collect information about the device you use to access the App, including:
    • Device model
    • Operating system version
    • Unique device identifiers
    • Mobile network information
  • Log Data: When you access the App, our servers automatically record information, including your IP address, browser type, referring/exit pages, and dates/timestamps.
  • Location Information: With your permission, we may collect precise or approximate location information from your mobile device. You can disable this at any time through your device settings.
  • Firebase Analytics: We use Google Firebase Analytics to collect data regarding user behavior and app performance. This includes information such as app usage, session length, crash reports, and device identifiers (e.g., Firebase installation IDs). This data helps us understand how users interact with our App and improve its functionality. Firebase processes data in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) / Notifications: We use Firebase Cloud Messaging to send you push notifications, such as updates about new shows, announcements, or promotional messages. To send these notifications, FCM processes device registration tokens. You can manage your notification preferences through your device settings.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for various purposes, including:

  • To Provide and Maintain the App: To operate, maintain, and improve the functionality of Big Sister TV, including delivering TV shows, live TV, and future shop features.
  • Account Management: To create and manage your user account and verify your identity, enabling you to access personalized content.
  • Show Applications: To process and evaluate your applications for shows.
  • Personalization: To personalize your experience on the App, such as recommending content you might enjoy.
  • Communication: To send you important notices, updates, and respond to your inquiries. This includes sending push notifications via Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM).
  • Promotional Communications: To send you promotional messages or offers (with your consent where required), including through push notifications.
  • Analytics and Improvement: To understand how users interact with the App, identify trends, and improve our services, content, and user experience using data collected via Firebase Analytics.
  • Security and Fraud Prevention: To detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, and other illegal or harmful activities.
  • Compliance with Legal Obligations: To comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal processes.
  • Shop Operations (Coming Soon): To process transactions, fulfill orders, and manage customer service related to the shop.

4. How We Share Your Information

We may share your information in the following circumstances:

  • With Your Consent: We may share your information when you give us explicit consent to do so.
  • Service Providers:4 We engage third-party service providers to perform services on our behalf, such as hosting, analytics (including Firebase Analytics), notification delivery (Firebase Cloud Messaging), customer support, and payment processing. These providers have access to your information only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.6
  • Google (Firebase): When you use our App, data is processed by Google's Firebase services for analytics and notification delivery. Google's use of information collected through Firebase is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
  • Show Producers/Casting (for Show Applications): If you apply for a show, the information you provide in your application (including photos, videos, date of birth, nationality, etc.) may be shared with the relevant show producers, casting directors, and other parties involved in the show's production for evaluation and selection purposes.
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to:
    • Comply with a legal obligation
    • Protect and defend the rights or property of Byte Limited
    • Prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the App
    • Protect the personal safety of users of the App or the public
    • Protect against legal liability
  • Aggregated or Anonymized Data: We may share aggregated or anonymized information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. When your information is no longer needed, we will securely delete or anonymize it.13

  • Location Information: You can disable location services for the App through your device settings.
  • Google Account Settings: You can manage the information shared with us via your Google account settings.

7. Account Deletion Request for Big Sister TV (Developed by Byte Limited)

Users of the Big Sister TV app can request the deletion of their account and associated data. Here are the steps to initiate an account deletion request:

Steps to Request Account Deletion:

  1. Send an Email: Please send an email to our dedicated support address: support@byteltd.com.
  2. Subject Line: In the subject line of your email, please write: "Big Sister TV Account Deletion Request - [Your Full Name/Email Used for Account]".
  3. Required Information: In the body of the email, please provide the following information to help us verify your identity and process your request:
    • Your full name as registered with the Big Sister TV account.
    • The email address associated with your Big Sister TV account.
    • The phone number associated with your Big Sister TV account (if applicable).
    • A brief confirmation that you wish to permanently delete your Big Sister TV account and all associated data.
  4. Verification: We may contact you via your registered email or phone number to verify your identity before proceeding with the deletion. This is a security measure to protect your account from unauthorized deletion.

Types of Data Deleted and Retained:

Upon successful verification and processing of your deletion request, Byte Limited will take reasonable steps to:

  • Deleted Data:
    • Your Big Sister TV account profile information (Name, Email, Phone Number, Password).
    • Your viewing history and personalization preferences linked to your account.
    • Any messages or communications stored directly within our app (excluding those required for legal retention).
    • Your show application data (photos, videos, date of birth, nationality, etc.) that you submitted through the app.
    • Data specifically tied to your account that is collected via Firebase Analytics and FCM (though aggregated/anonymized data may persist).
  • Retained Data:
    • Anonymized/Aggregated Data: We may retain anonymized or aggregated data that cannot identify you personally for analytical purposes (e.g., overall viewership trends, app performance metrics). This data is used for business operations and product improvement after your account is deleted.
    • Legal & Regulatory Compliance: We may retain certain data for a limited period if required by law, court order, or to comply with regulatory obligations (e.g., transaction records for financial reporting, data required for tax purposes).
    • Fraud Prevention & Security: Limited data may be retained for a reasonable period to prevent fraud, protect the security of our services, or enforce our terms of service.
    • Publicly Posted Content (if applicable): If you have posted any content publicly within the app (e.g., comments, forum posts – if such features existed), this content may remain public even after your account deletion, though it will no longer be linked to your identifiable account. (Adjust this point if your app doesn't have public posting features).

Additional Retention Period:

Please note that due to technical processes and legal obligations, a complete deletion of all associated data from our active servers may take up to 90 days from the date of confirmed deletion. During this period, your account may no longer be accessible, but some data may still reside in our backup systems or logs before full deletion.

8. Security of Your Information

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access,19 alteration, disclosure, or destruction. This includes leveraging security features provided by Firebase for data processing related to analytics and notifications. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

9. Children's Privacy

The Big Sister TV App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete such information as soon as possible. If you believe we may have collected information from a child under 13, please contact23 us.

10. International Data Transfers

Your information, including personal data processed by Firebase, may be transferred to and maintained on computers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction. Firebase's data centers are located globally, and Google's data processing terms reflect compliance with international data transfer mechanisms. By using the App, you consent to such transfer and processing of your information.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.24 Your continued use of the App after any modifications to this Privacy Policy will constitute your acknowledgment of the modifications and your consent to abide and be bound by the modified Privacy Policy.
